China’s Urban, Housing and Environmental Issues

CALL FOR PAPER

China’s urbanization rate has been increasing by about one percentage point per year, from 26 percent in 1990 to 53.7 percent in 2013. Every year 10 to 15 million people move into cities. Such huge migration inflow, especially the rural-to-urban migration, contributes to China’s amazing 10% annual economic growth rate in the past two decades. In the meanwhile, urban economy, housing market and environmental performance have dramatically changed in Chinese cities in recent years. It provides valuable research opportunities for young scholars to conduct high-quality research on China’s urban, housing and environmental issues.
