专家简介：Dr. Carlos Hiroo Saito is a full professor at the University of Brasilia since 1996, working at the Department of Ecology and Institute of Biological Sciences, and Center for Sustainable Development, and the Director of the Center (April 2025 until present). He has received his Doctorate degree in Sciences (Geography) from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Prof. Saito has held more than 32 research projects, 6 of them involving partners of Northern hemisphere, 3 of them with South-American partners. He has published over 300 publications, and won many prizes including Brazilian National Council for Technological and Scientific Development: Research productivity fellowship for the period 2004-2007, 2008-2011, 2012-2015, 2015-2018, and 2019-2022. He was the Chair of the Global Water Partnership-South America (2018-2019 and 2021-2023).
